| Re: Kodachrome-Worthy Locales Nearby? Even though San Diego doesn't experience a change of season like in the Northeast, there's still lots of color in some of the trees. Right outside my office are groups of liquid amber trees (aka California maples). These are the trees with those little balls of death on them. The trees here are brilliant shades of orange and red.
In the same vein, you could head up to Julian, where color and composition can be had every time you turn around.
