Need to borrow a manual strobe please :)

My Minolta 5200i can't sync past 1/50th of a second so I am left with only one Vivitar 283 for a portrait session I want to do in my house. I need a second strobe for a snooted background light. Is there anyone here willing to lend me their strobe in about a week for 2 days? Pretty please? I just need a strobe with manual power control (like a Vivitar 285HV, Canon 430EX, etc) - it'll be attached to one of my hot shoe adapters for use with my Cactus V2 triggers. Thanks in advance.

If I get my 580 back from Nick sometime soon, you're more than welcome to use it.

Thanks Ty! Any manual flash will do, as long as I can hook up my hot shoe adapter to it.

Re: Need to borrow a manual strobe please :)

Jace, I still have those two vivitar 283 units sitting at my house. I never put them up on Ebay. They are the older models, but IIRC you said you had no problem getting them to fire with the Cactus triggers. My triggers won't fire them so they are paper weights to me. I even have a variable power control for one of them. Just give me a call.

Agreed, it's pretty high on my list, and some triggers.

Thanks John! If my triggers fire them would you be willing to sell them to me?

I will be selling my Cactus V2s triggers soon. I have 1 transmitter and 3 receivers. I'm gonna upgrade to Cybersyncs.
