Hello all,

Stumbled across this forum by way of another forum, TPF. While I like the "international" feel of TPF, will be nice to have people that I might actually have a chance to interact with in person.

A little about me - me and the g/f live in Middletown (between Hillcrest and Little Italy) with our 2 dogs and 11 cats. I was born in San Diego(Camp Pendelton actually) but raised in Oregon. After an 8 year stint in the Marine Corps I found myself back at Camp Pendelton and loved San Diego so I stayed. I often refer to myself a "native transplant".

I am fairly new to "real" photography. I had an Olympus C2100UZ for a long time that I used to take primarily snapshots but was never really creative with it. The g/f upgraded me to a Canon 350D for Christmas and I have been having a lot of fun but still have lots to learn.

Looking forward to talking with and hopefully learning from everyone.
