| Taiwanese 7-11 store Chicken Feet No fooling, they are good. Basically what you taste is the BBQ sauce they are soaked in. The only downside is, they are super labor intensive; trying to get the gristle/meat off their little feet takes patience. Also too, it takes some getting used to! But I thought the photos might be of some amusement. The major photographers challenges were: One: keeping the grease off my Minolta after I pulled one of the legs out to shoot it. Two: keeping my lovely Taiwanese wife, Elizabeth, from eating them before I got around to shooting the photographs. Take care, Brian The 7-11 Food Critic and Photographer ![]() |

| Re: Taiwanese 7-11 store Chicken Feet Thats crazy, So do you eat these to get full or just a snack? I would imagine you would need a couple bags to get full though right? They look like little Gremlin hands. Is there anything here in the States that you miss eating? If there is I would send them to you and you send me those wild candies and stuff like this you have pictured here. I find it interesting eating and mostly mixing the snacks with photos as instructions. My old neighbors sister used to send him a box a month of junk food and he would just give it to me saying " Im not gunna eat this stuff!", Shrimp this, Fish that etc..lol

| Re: Taiwanese 7-11 store Chicken Feet I'd try these LONG before I'd try our southern american treat, pickled pig's feet. So Brian, are they crunchy like pork rinds or are they kinda chewy like cold wings? Nick- let's get some Balut!!! You only live once, right?

| Re: Taiwanese 7-11 store Chicken Feet Hi Fixcinater, They are in the refrig section along with the other breakfast/lunch items. In fairness to Taiwanese 7-11s, in addition to things like chicken’s feet, they also have the more regular 7-11 fare like hot dogs, hamburgers and club sandwiches. The chicken’s feet are actually a type of “Dim Sum” which are southern Chinese snacks. I suspect that in some of the Taiwanese or Cantonese places in town you maybe able to get them if the place serves dim sum. Hi Nick, Yeah, they are just a snack, or side dish. What would be “normal” is grab a plate of microwave noodles, the bag of chicken feet and have the clerk nuke both of them and that is breakfast. Sad to say the Customs Agents both in the U.S. and Taiwan take a dim view of shipping such things via mail. My wife has gotten jammed many times trying to ship food type things. Hi Insane Diego, They are chewy. In fact with my aging teeth I sometimes have a bit of trouble eating them. But I give it my best shot. Hi Colleen, TheBDT, How can you folks say that!. Although actually, even though I lived in Taiwan for 15 years, looking at those claws still gives me a bit of a startle. The joke among the southern Chinese is; a southern Chinese will eat anything with legs---except the table. (my wife is southern Chinese, she told me that joke) And there is some truth to that. Take care, Brian |

| Re: Taiwanese 7-11 store Chicken Feet Brian- Yes, we can get them at the various Dim Sum restaurants around, I'd just never seen them prepackaged before. Cultural and dietary differences are very interesting!
