Otay Lakes

Went for a hike with the lady friend. Decided to try out some free presets I found online. First was Kodachrome 64, second was Ektachrome 100VS, the third one was my own, and fourth one was a preset for Tri-X 400 also found online. All done in Lightroom in about 10 minutes.

Re: Otay Lakes

I prefer the third one in the first set; its color are the most interesting to me—vivid but believable. I also like the colors in the second post...

I like this one the most and the b/w second. I think the white crane took off before you got there...

Re: Otay Lakes

Yah, he was around that corner of the lake for most of the 2+ hrs we were walking/shooting around the area. Kinda skipping this way and that.

It was good to just chill by a lake, hadn't done that in a long while. I miss it, growing up 1/5mi from a lake in Madison, WI and 1/2mi from the Mississippi when I was in Minnesota. Neat to hear a bird get eaten by something...water snake? I don't know what would have attacked a bird in the reeds in an area like that here in SD.

Re: Otay Lakes

The Tri-X treatment looks pretty authentic, as one who has shot many 100's of rolls of the stuff back in the day.

As well the Kodachrome treatment looks pretty good as well.

Care to share where you found these?

Re: Otay Lakes

Really like the B&W, and I like the composition on the second post (with the lone picture).

Re: Otay Lakes

Is it me or these shots are not sharp, But I do like them.
