Okay, you all know I hate the local stores here except for Calumet. Well, I took the 30D in for sensor cleaning and Professional Photographic Repair on Raytheon St. took care of it. I thought the area looked familiar and that is because the guy who installed my Jeep alarm/new stereo is on the same street - SoundCheck. Rob is a good guy and it's a family owned business. The son Don works there and is great. They specialize in film camera repair as well as digital. Don called me to say that there was dust behind the plastic and that since it's still under warranty, let them ship it back to Canon to have it done for free. He said that he could do it but it would cost 300.00 but it's right to have it sent back to Canon and fixed under warranty. I love honesty like that. If you guys/girls have camera issues, please call them first. For the first time in a very long time, I have faith in a "mom and pop" business.
